Maxine Wahome, a rally driver charged with the murder of her boyfriend, Asad Khan, has claimed that he was the one who attacked her prior to his death.

Wahome alleges that Khan woke her up one morning and ordered her to leave his house.

She claims that he attacked her and she took refuge on the balcony of the apartment, where he attempted to break the door with his feet.

According to her affidavit, Khan then injured himself on the balcony door window panes and took himself to the hospital.

Wahome has requested bail pending trial and pledged not to abscond or interfere with witnesses.

She also stated that she cannot pursue her career as a rally driver due to the charges filed against her.

The case continues as investigations into the incident unfold.
